Holzhaus V transforms part of a terraced house into a three-generation home.
The original building was constructed in 1980 as a timber-frame structure.
by renovating two existing floors and adding two additional storeys on top, enough space is generated to house two families on the same plot. retaining the atmosphere of the existing and adding something new.
This approach generates nested atmospheres, spanning from the roof terrace to the elevated living space. Old memories intersect with new ideas: Wood, darkened by time, meets contemporary materials.
